Soulframe Open Preludes launches as free alpha on PC

Digital Extremes has launched Soulframe Open Preludes, a free alpha experience for all players on PC via Steam. This version serves as an early build to allow players to test the game while development continues on the primary fantasy action RPG. Players can sign up for an account through the official website, and a Founder's pack is available for those wanting to purchase in-game equipment and bonuses.

The game is set in a separate universe from Warframe on the world of Alca. Players control an Envoy and can form parties of up to four people to explore the isle of Midrath. While the full game is planned for PC and consoles, a release date has not been shared. The title was originally announced in 2022, and a previous version of Preludes was released in 2023.
