TL;DR

An unofficial project has ported the 2019 Switch version of The Legend of Zelda: Link's Awakening to Windows, macOS, and Linux.

The LAS Recomp project uses static recompilation to run the Switch title natively on PC. The creator says Anthropic's Claude wrote nearly all the documentation, tooling, and code under human review. This port adds experimental features not found in the original, including shufflers for music, environment, dungeon rooms, and trade quests. These additions aim to increase replayability for the short game. Read more about the technical details at Wccftech and TweakTown.
