Shrek 2 Remastered appears briefly on Xbox Store

A product page for Shrek 2 Remastered appeared briefly on the Microsoft Store before being taken offline. The listing identifies Aspyr as the developer and lists the game for Xbox Series X and S. While a specific price and release date were not provided, reports say the game may be officially announced during the ID@Xbox Showcase on October 20.

The store entry describes the game as an action-adventure featuring 4K graphics. It includes a photo mode, a cheat mode, and cooperative play for up to four players. Unlike the original 2004 version which only had local multiplayer, this remaster reportedly adds online multiplayer and supports a mix of local and online players.

A 52-second trailer for the game was captured from the listing. The clip parodies the GTA 6 trailer by using 1980s-style music, neon colors, and palm trees. Microsoft and Aspyr have not confirmed these details. No release dates or platforms for PC, PlayStation, or Nintendo consoles were mentioned in the listing.
