Saros patch 02.000.000 adds New Game Plus and Overlord Rush

Housemarque released patch 02.000.000 for Saros on October 19, 2026. The free update brings a New Game Plus mode named Eclipse Layers, which unlocks after completing the game.

Design lead Abebe Tinari states the update aims to add replayability and accessibility. The patch introduces Overlord Rush, a boss rush mode featuring sets of up to three bosses and a final set called Totality that includes every boss, alongside an integrated leaderboard.

Accessibility additions feature motion controls, high-contrast visual settings, speed adjustments to slow down projectiles, and weapon auto-fire. Tinari notes the auto-fire option helps players who struggle to hold buttons down for extended periods, though reloading remains manual. The update also adds new Carcosan Modifiers, six trophies, Yellow King collectibles, Photo Mode customization for Arjun, and balance adjustments to artifacts, modifier costs, and damage values.
