AMD is rolling out frame pacing improvements for its FSR Frame Generation technology on Radeon RX 9000 series GPUs. The company says these changes deliver more consistent frame pacing and more stable frametimes for a smoother and more responsive experience in supported titles.
These improvements specifically target the ML-powered version of FSR Frame Generation that is exclusive to the RX 9000 series. AMD has not commented on whether similar improvements are coming to other Radeon graphics cards or older generations. Reports say older hardware will fall back to using FSR 3.1 Frame Generation. AMD has not clarified if these changes require the Adrenalin 26.10.1 driver or if they must be implemented within individual games.
Regarding FSR 4.1 Redstone, AMD is also working on adding Vulkan support. Previously, FSR 4.1 was only available for games using the DirectX 12 API. Reports say Vulkan support for FSR 4.1 will follow shortly.
Background In October, AMD announced that FSR Redstone was already available in more than 400 games for Radeon RX 9000 series graphics cards. Our earlier story
