The Community Edition will combine the original PC version of the game with the 2008 Xbox 360 version, Dark Messiah of Might and Magic: Elements. It will restore cut content and bring over levels previously restricted to console hardware. The project grew out of fan mods created by wiltOS Technologies, including a version using RTX Remix ray-tracing and a co-op mod.

The edition utilizes a newer iteration of the Source engine and supports 64-bit Windows and Linux. New features include a cooperative campaign, New Game+, bonus levels, challenges, and new weapons, spells, and transformations. Multiplayer functionality relies on Steamworks alongside peer-to-peer networking. Players can also use Steam Workshop to create and share custom content, such as new classes, enemies, skill trees, and levels.

wiltOS Technologies plans to release the edition in 2026, though the team has not announced a specific date.
