KIOXIA Exceria G3 Gen5 4TB SSD features 10,000MB/s read speeds

KIOXIA offers the Exceria G3 Gen5 SSD in 1, 2, and 4 TB capacities. The 4TB model uses the NVMe 2.0 protocol and a Phison PS5031-E31 Gen5 4-channel DRAMless controller. It also lacks a DRAM buffer chip. For storage, it uses two KIOXIA BiCS8 218-layer QLC NAND chips with 2TB of raw capacity each.

KIOXIA lists performance at up to 10,000MB/s read, 9,600MB/s write, and 1,450K IOPS. The M.2 2280 drive features a single-sided board and a 6.4W active power rating. KIOXIA provides a five-year manufacturers limited warranty.

While the 2TB version was priced at $435 on Amazon, the 4TB model was not available there at the time of this report. The SSD is available on Amazon, though some listings may come from third party sellers which can affect returns and warranties.
