TL;DR

Linux kernel patches suggest new Raspberry Pi Zero 3 W and Raspberry Pi 4 Model A hardware is in development, reports say.

Linux kernel patches for new Raspberry Pi hardware have been merged into the official tree, reports say. These patches include Device Tree files for a Raspberry Pi Zero 3 W and a Raspberry Pi 4 Model A.

The Raspberry Pi Zero 3 W reportedly uses a Broadcom BCM2711 quad-core Cortex-A72 SoC, which is the same processor found in the Raspberry Pi 4. No other specific hardware details for the Zero 3 W are available in the patches. The inclusion of a Raspberry Pi 4 Model A suggests a new, lower-cost version of the Raspberry Pi 4, following the pattern of previous Model A and Model A+ boards that offered reduced I/O and lower power consumption. Neither device has been officially announced or released.
