Remix released a desktop app for Windows, Mac, and Linux on October 26. The platform allows users to build games using AI tools on desktop, web, and mobile. While playing, uploading, and sharing games is free, Remix says creation plans for its AI tools start at $5 per month. Users can also connect existing subscriptions from Google, OpenAI, or Anthropic to these plans.

As part of the launch, Remix is running a scavenger hunt called The Missing Bitcoin. The contest features a total prize pool of over $100,000. The grand prize is 1 BTC or its cash equivalent for the first player to collect all hunt coins. If no player collects every coin, the person with the most coins wins. Players finishing between 2nd and 10th place also receive prizes. A player who refers a winner can win 1/2 BTC or its cash equivalent.

The hunt takes place on the Remix website and through native iOS and Android apps. The first portal, The Standing Tide, opens registration on October 26 at 11 a.m. Pacific time. The Nexus portal and new challenges open on November 2, with more appearing every two to three days. The Final Door opens on November 12 at 11 a.m. Pacific time, leading to the final challenge.
