Bandai Namco announced Mobile Suit Gundam: Battle Operation 3 as a free-to-play team combat game with cross-play between PC and PS5.

Bandai Namco announced Mobile Suit Gundam: Battle Operation 3 during its Gundam Games 40th Anniversary livestream. Developed by Bandai Namco Forge Digitals, the free-to-play tactical game heads to PC and PlayStation 5 with cross-play support enabled between both platforms.

The sequel keeps the core loop of mixing mech battles with infantry combat. Pilots are able to exit their mechs to set explosives, call for backup, and secure objectives. Bandai Namco says the game introduces individual SP skills for every unit, a battle assist feature for combos, a redesigned user interface, and improved 3D environments.

At launch, the roster features units from the Universal Century timeline, including Mobile Suit Gundam, The 08th MS Team, and 0083: Stardust Memory, alongside Mobile Suit Gundam SEED. Bandai Namco plans to add alternate timeline content and units like the BuCUE during the first year. The game does not have a release date yet.
