TL;DR

SK hynix reported its third-quarter 2026 financial results in October 2026, posting record revenue while projecting that memory demand will outrun supply through 2030.

SK hynix posted its third-quarter 2026 financial results in October 2026, reporting 104.6 trillion won in revenue and an 83.3 trillion won operating profit. That performance gave the company an 80% operating margin. Net income dropped 58% sequentially to 39.8 trillion won, though it remains up 216% year-over-year.

The more critical detail for PC builders sits in the company outlook. SK hynix says memory demand will outrun supply all the way to 2030. To lock down output, the firm has signed five-year agreements with 14 major customers. These agreements reserve a majority of production capacity for 2027 and 2028, featuring rates linked to market fluctuations within set bounds.

Server DDR5 and early shipments of HBM4 drove the quarter's DRAM growth. SK hynix plans to bring its M15X fab to full capacity by the end of 2026 while pushing more output onto its 1c manufacturing process. Yongin Phase 1 enters operation in 2027, and investment will rise significantly that year.
