Ubisoft says no other Assassin's Creed remakes are in development
TL;DR
Ubisoft says it is not currently working on any new Assassin's Creed remakes and is focusing on upcoming titles and the 20th anniversary in 2027.
Ubisoft says it has no other Assassin's Creed remakes in active development. Following the July 9 launch of Black Flag Resynced, the company says its teams are focusing on upcoming titles, including unannounced projects. Ubisoft says it is not ruling out future remakes and will continue to explore ways to revisit older games.
Assassin's Creed Valhalla will receive a New Game+ update on November 5. The update includes dedicated scaling, an optional progression mode for gear and masteries, new runes, achievements, and a stash system. It also adds a new resource called Mithril for upgrading Divine Gear and runes, along with a costume styled after Naoe from Shadows. The publisher noted that user reactions to these additions might inspire comparable features in future franchise entries.
Development continues on Codename Hexe, a project set during 17th-century witch hunts in the Holy Roman Empire. Ubisoft says its next major update for Hexe will arrive in 2027. While the company has not provided a release window, an insider claimed in July that the game will not launch before the second half of 2027.
The multiplayer project Codename Invictus is also being reworked. Ubisoft says it is adjusting the game's direction after hundreds of players participated in an Insiders Session prototype test. Regarding the franchise's live-action Netflix series, Ubisoft says production is nearing completion in Rome and Hannah Peel is writing the musical score while the premiere timing remains unconfirmed. Looking ahead, the company is organizing a twelve-month celebration featuring new announcements, updates, and bonuses for the franchise's upcoming anniversary. The Resynced version of Black Flag has concluded its major content additions, although smaller maintenance patches will persist moving forward.
