Skyblivion team reports legal threats from former volunteer
TL;DR
Skyblivion developers report that an ex-volunteer issued legal warnings and requested the personal details of project leaders after a code dispute.
The group behind Skyblivion stated that an ex-volunteer made legal warnings after they argued about code contributions. This started when developers decompiled parts of the work because they lost access to the original repository, needing to fix bugs and keep systems running.

Staff members viewed these requests as excessive, stating they spoke with attorneys. They also felt secure about keeping material previously given to them.
To protect staff members and end the disagreement, developers deleted the contested files and constructed a new system from the ground up. Warnings reportedly kept escalating even following completion of this task. Organizers urged supporters to avoid harassing the individual, adding that they might withhold some answers while the legal situation proceeds. Skyblivion has been under volunteer development since 2012.
