HoYoverse released teasers for two new characters arriving in the Genshin Impact Version 7.2 update, titled "Hour of Demise." Mitya is a 5-star Electro catalyst user who works for the Royal Energy Commission in Snezhnaya and leads a project called "Mistletoe." Valeriy is a 4-star Electro sword user who acts as a support character. He is the commanding officer of the Special Assignments Battalion within the First Regiment of the Royal Grenadier Guards.
The update includes a map expansion containing the city of Novokitezhgrad and an area with the remains of a Cryo Dragon. Players will also receive two new Archon Quest acts as the storyline follows the seven nations of Teyvat standing against the Heavenly Principles.
