Rockstar Games says GTA 6 preloading begins November 10 for digital preorders on PS5 and Xbox Series X/S, requiring up to 212 GB of storage.
Rockstar Games has moved the GTA 6 preload date forward to November 10, 2026. This is two days earlier than the previously expected November 12 date. The game launches on November 19, 2026, for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S.
Digital preorder players on PS5 can begin downloading at midnight local time on November 10. Xbox Series X/S players can start downloading at 12:00 AM GMT on November 10. Rockstar Games says the game requires up to 212 GB of available storage depending on the platform. This 212 GB figure is the required space rather than a guaranteed exact download size.
Physical versions of the game will be "code-in-box" editions that include a digital download code instead of a disc. Rockstar Games expects these to arrive at retailers starting November 12. Preloading does not provide early access to the game.
On launch day, Rockstar Games will provide a free digital download of the game cover and a map of Leonida. A physical, double-sided version of this poster will be available as a free gift for purchases made through the Rockstar Store. The poster can also be purchased separately for 0.99 Euro.
