Lords of the Fallen II details combat upgrades ahead of Q1 2027 release

The sequel features nearly 30 distinct weapon movesets, up from 15 in the 2023 game. Users can swap between a pair of melee weapon loadouts mid-combo without breaking their attack flow, shift between stances, and perform counterstrike moves. Each setup holds two Quickfire options for casting spells, launching distance attacks, or applying buffs while keeping the active combat stance.

Magic and ranged systems receive dedicated stances that maintain melee mobility. Spellcasters can equip up to four spells per catalyst and swap catalysts for four more, using either instant or charged casts across seven magic schools. Mana restores through the Sanguinarix rather than consumable items, while ranged weapons feature unlimited basic ammunition alongside replenishable special ammo types. Players can also recover weapon upgrades for a small fee to transfer investments to different equipment.

Set 100 years after the previous title, the action-RPG includes shared co-op progression, optional PvP, and game modifiers. PLAION handles physical distribution for the release. Lords of the Fallen II is scheduled to launch in Q1 2027 for PC via Steam and the Epic Games Store, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and Nintendo Switch 2.
