GTA VI physical edition uses download codes instead of discs

Rockstar confirmed that physical versions of the game include digital download codes rather than discs. A physical version of the Ultimate Edition will not be available. Standard Edition owners, whether using physical or digital copies, may upgrade to the Ultimate Edition via console storefronts at any point.

The Ultimate Edition includes the ’95 Grotti Cheetah, Hawk & Little Morgan Revolvers, and the Classic Car Collection. Rockstar says these items are distributed through the story chapters featuring Jason and Lucia.

Pre-loading begins November 10, with PlayStation 5 starting at midnight local time and Xbox Series X|S starting at 12 a.m. GMT. Physical copies are expected at retailers starting November 12.

Rockstar says PlayStation download codes are region-specific, but Xbox codes are not region-locked. Those who secure the game digitally before November 20 get the Vintage Vice City Pack, which includes the ’55 Vapid Stanier Sedan and Garage, certain outfits, hairstyles, a weapon pattern, and one month of GTA+. Rockstar's listing for physical pre-orders includes the Vintage Vice City Pack but does not mention the GTA+ membership.
