The Switch 2 was jailbroken through software in late October, 16 months after its launch. The exploit author says development took about two weeks and was done using OpenAI Codex. Because the exploit is tethered, users need to start a certain older game whenever the system powers up. The exploit allows access to homebrew, mods, and save file management. Nintendo has not commented on the situation.
