Kirby Air Riders update 1.3.4 scheduled for November 5 after incorrect notification

Nintendo offered an apology when an erroneous alert falsely told users that version 1.3.4 had arrived. The company's Japanese support account on X confirmed the update is actually scheduled for release on November 5, 2026.

The update is required for online play. Nintendo says version 1.3.4 is incompatible with replays from versions 1.3.3 to 1.3.0, as well as versions 1.2.0 and earlier. Players can convert replays to video files via the playback settings screen before downloading the update to avoid losing them. Furthermore, installing this patch prevents local LAN matches with anyone running older software versions.

The update follows the October 30 cancellation of the "Trick or Treat!" Halloween event. Nintendo canceled the event, which began in late October, because of performance issues including frame rate drops and screen freezes. While Nintendo says the Halloween content and rewards will return in a future update, it has not confirmed if version 1.3.4 addresses these specific performance problems. Reports say a new event will replace the Halloween content.
