GTA 6 has been assigned a CERO Z rating in Japan, restricting sales to players 18 and older on the Japanese PlayStation and Xbox Stores.
Grand Theft Auto 6 has received a CERO Z rating in Japan, according to reports. The rating is now listed on the Japanese PlayStation and Xbox Stores. A CERO Z classification is the highest rating available from the Computer Entertainment Rating Organization and restricts sales to players aged 18 and older. Other CERO categories include A (all ages), B (12+), C (15+), and D (17+).
While the rating is confirmed, it is not known if the Japanese version of GTA 6 will require content changes to match the standards of other regions. Previous entries in the series underwent changes for the Japanese market to comply with CERO rules, such as removing dismemberment, decapitation, or certain sexual animations. CERO maintains strict prohibitions on explicit sexual acts, exposed sexual organs, and extreme mutilation regardless of a game's specific age rating.
