TL;DR

Sony is postponing the November 12 launch of the Pulse Elevate wireless speakers due to a production issue discovered during quality testing.

Sony postponed the rollout of the PlayStation Pulse Elevate wireless speakers without setting a new date. The speakers were scheduled to release on November 12, 2026, but Sony said a production issue was identified during quality testing. The company has not provided a new release date or details regarding the specific nature of the issue.

The speakers were priced at $219.99 in the US, €219.99 in Europe, and £199.99 in the UK. Pre-orders for the hardware began on September 1. The Midnight Black model was intended for worldwide sale through Sony and other retailers, while the White model was exclusive to direct.playstation.com in the US, UK, and nine European countries.

The Pulse Elevate features planar magnetic drivers and built-in woofers. They support PlayStation Link via a USB-C adapter for PS5, PC, Mac, and PlayStation Portal, and allow for simultaneous Bluetooth connectivity. Sony says the speakers offer up to 12 hours of battery life and include an AI-enhanced noise-rejection microphone.
