GIGABYTE WRX90 AI TOP supports up to 9 GPUs and 2TB of RAM

TL;DR

GIGABYTE says its new WRX90 AI TOP motherboard supports up to nine GPUs and 2TB of ECC DDR5 memory.

GIGABYTE has introduced the WRX90 AI TOP motherboard, which is designed for AMD Ryzen Threadripper PRO 9000 and 7000 series processors. The board features seven PCIe 5.0 slots connected directly to the processor. GIGABYTE says six of these slots run at x16 speed and one runs at x8. By using external connections and additional MCIO connectors, the motherboard can support up to nine GPUs.

The board includes eight DDR5 RDIMM memory channels and supports up to 2TB of ECC memory. To manage heat, GIGABYTE included a dual-fan module for the DIMM modules. GIGABYTE says this system can keep memory temperatures below 43 degrees Celsius.

Power is supplied through a 32+3+3+3-phase system using 110-amp power stages on a 14-layer PCB. Other features include M.2 PCIe 5.0 slots, USB4 connectors, and dual Intel X710 10-gigabit networking ports.
