Alphacool Apex 1 AM5 white CPU water block released for 189.98 euros

Alphacool has released a white version of its Apex 1 CPU water block for the AMD AM5 platform. The new model costs 189.98 euros and uses the same cooling architecture as the existing black version.

The block features a nickel-plated copper cold plate and a nickel-plated brass connection area. It uses an aluminum housing with addressable RGB lighting and chrome accents. The internal design includes cross-slot structures, a 3D-Jetplate 2.0, and a plenum to manage water flow. Alphacool says the cooler base is offset to position water injection directly over the processor hotspot.

The unit measures 100 x 86 x 32.3 mm and weighs 995 grams. It uses standard G1/4 threads and has a maximum operating temperature of 60 degrees Celsius. The cooling fins have a thickness and spacing of 0.4 mm.

Because the cooler body covers the CPU socket and mounting holes, users should check that their specific motherboard has enough clearance. This product is a component for a custom liquid-cooling loop and does not include a pump or radiator. Alphacool notes that actual cooling performance depends on other loop components, such as the pump, radiator, and flow rate. No independent comparative measurements are currently available to evaluate its performance against other blocks.
