AMD Adrenalin 26.10.2 fixes crashes for RX 9000 and RX 7000
TL;DR
AMD released the optional Adrenalin Edition 26.10.2 driver to address driver timeouts and application crashes on Radeon RX 9000 and RX 7000 series GPUs.
AMD has released an optional driver update, Adrenalin Edition 26.10.2, to address driver timeouts, application crashes, and unexpected shutdowns. The update specifically targets stability for Radeon RX 9000 and RX 7000 series graphics cards. AMD says the driver includes fixes for Valor Mortis, Death Stranding 2, and Final Fantasy Resonance. It also addresses issues with the Steam launcher, performance metrics overlay, and software overlays. The release includes fixes for certain systems using Ryzen AI MAX PRO 400 series processors.
AMD notes that the update does not guarantee all reported crashes or driver timeouts are eliminated. Occasional app crashes still impact certain RX 7000 and RX 9000 setups. Unresolved issues also affect Radeon RX 5000 series cards. Additionally, AMD reports that certain Ryzen AI processors experience black screen behavior in Gears of War: Reloaded. The company has not provided a timeline for resolving these remaining problems. This release follows Adrenalin Edition 26.10.1, which arrived about 10 days ago.
