TL;DR

Intel says select Core Ultra 200H and 200U mobile processors will move to its embedded segment, with the last consumer orders due by May 21, 2027.

Intel is transitioning several Core Ultra 200H and 200U mobile processors to its embedded segment. These processors, which include the Core Ultra 5 235H, 225H, 225U, and 235U, the Core Ultra 7 255U, 265U, 255H, and 265H, and the Core Ultra 9 285H, are shifting away from standard availability for retail buyer devices. The company explains this sector serves clients working across telecommunications, factory machinery, data storage, and connectivity fields.

Laptop manufacturers can submit final orders for these SKUs until May 21, 2027. Intel says the last shipments will occur by November 19, 2027. After that date, commercial shipments for these models will end. Any chips bought prior to November 2027 remain covered by standard commercial licenses, but buyers transition to alternative architectural fees and rules following the final delivery.
