Bazzite 45 is out now, featuring a rebase to Fedora 45, support for the Acer Predator Atlas 8 and ASUS ROG Xbox Ally X20, and a new tool to check compatibility with Epic Games' Linux EAC V2.
The Bazzite team has released Bazzite 45, which is rebased on Fedora 45. The update includes Gnome 51.1, KDE Plasma 6.8.2, and Mesa driver 26.2.6. For hardware support, the release adds the Acer Predator Atlas 8, ASUS ROG Xbox Ally X20, and Logitech TrueForce racing wheels. Linux kernel versions are 7.2.15 for AMD and Intel users and 6.18.60 for NVIDIA users.
Bazzite is now an accepted signing key provider for Epic Games. To assist with the transition to Linux EAC V2, the team added a readiness checker. This tool checks kernel and BIOS configurations, including Secure Boot, TPM 2.0, IOMMU, and kernel lockdown, to notify users of any incompatibilities.
The update includes an updated extest library to support Steam Input on the Steam 64-bit client. Image updates are now as small as 100 MB due to the implementation of Chunkah. The team removed XWaylandVideoBridge to improve stability and address KDE bugs. In the coming weeks, the team plans to test Linux kernel 7.3.1 and implement HDMI 2.1 and VRR in the unstable channel.
