TL;DR

Nintendo says the Ocarina of Time remake has had a very strong start and the Switch 2 40th Anniversary Edition console is seeing solid sales.

Nintendo says the The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time remake has had a very strong start. While the company is not sharing specific figures, president Shuntaro Furukawa noted the game is performing well alongside the recent release of the Nintendo Switch 2 40th Anniversary Edition console, which has seen solid sales across various regions.

The company is also managing the sales momentum of the Nintendo Switch 2. The console has an installed base exceeding 25 million units following its launch last June. Furukawa said the release of Pokemon Pokopia in March helped drive global hardware sales.

Nintendo implemented price adjustments for the Switch 2 in May for Japan and in September for other regions. In Japan, the company views the current moderate sell-through as a natural stabilization following an unprecedented pace of adoption. Outside of Japan, Nintendo reports that hardware bundles helped prevent a significant shift in sales trends during the September price adjustment. Nintendo noted that upcoming weekly sales figures remain vital for reaching annual targets.
