TL;DR

Technical analysis of the Monster Hunter Wilds demo on Nintendo Switch 2 shows a docked resolution of 648p with DLSS and a stable 30 FPS target ahead of its December 4 release.

Capcom released a demo for Monster Hunter Wilds on Nintendo Switch 2 ahead of the December 4 release. The game supports online cross-play and local wireless co-op.

In docked quality mode, the game maintains a consistent 30 FPS at an estimated internal resolution of 648p using NVIDIA DLSS image reconstruction. A frame rate mode pushes performance to between 40 and 55 FPS by lowering the resolution to about 600p and disabling screen space reflections. Handheld mode runs at an estimated 432p internal resolution while holding close to 30 FPS.

Reports indicate that the Switch 2 version features clearer textures and screen space reflections that are absent from the Xbox Series S version, though the Series S reaches a resolution approaching 1080p. Visual compromises on the Switch 2 include lower resolution shadows, reduced geometry, and limited animation for distant foliage and non-player characters.
