The developer released The Walking Trade on Xbox Series X|S on October 26. The game is a store management simulator set in a zombie apocalypse where players stock shelves, set prices, and serve survivors. Players can also defend the shop from zombie hordes using firearms, melee weapons, or other nearby items.

The game includes a crafting station to create tools, weapons, medicine, shop upgrades, and traps or defenses. Players can hire survivors to scavenge for supplies, serve customers, or act as guards. The developer says players can choose to help the community or price gouge and murder customers for profit, which affects their reputation and who visits the store.

Development on the game began in October 2024. Following a PC release roughly 18 months later, the title is now available on Xbox Series X|S.
