ASUS released a preview update for the ROG Xbox Ally X and ROG Xbox Ally X20 handhelds that enables AMD FSR 4.1 upscaling. To get the update, users must enable preview updates in the Armoury Crate Update Center to download a new GPU driver. This driver is not supported on the baseline ROG Xbox Ally, though ASUS says FSR 4.1 support is coming to that device.
AMD says FSR "Redstone" is available in over 400 games. In games where AMD's "FSR Upgrade" feature is supported, the update allows the device to replace the native FSR implementation with FSR 4.1. This applies to most games using FSR 3.1 or newer. Users must enable FSR Upscaling in the ASUS Command Center app or AMD Software Adrenalin Edition to use the feature. The ROG Xbox Ally X20 also features an OLED display, TMR joysticks, and improved ergonomics.
