A Reddit user reported that an alarm from the MSI Safeguard+ software helped them find a power defect on their graphics card.
A Reddit user, u/junon, shared that MSI Safeguard+ helped identify a factory defect on an RTX 5090. The user bought an MSI AI1300TS power supply, which features Safeguard+ technology to track current flow on 12V-2x6 connectors. The software triggered an alarm, leading the user to check the application and find that the second pin lacked power. This occurred because the connector was slightly elevated from the circuit board. The user intends to seek an RMA for the graphics card.
