Warhammer Age of Sigmar: Deathmaster announced for 2027 release

Dotemu and Old Skull Games have announced Warhammer Age of Sigmar: Deathmaster, a 2D stealth-focused action-platformer. The game is scheduled to launch in 2027 on PC, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, and Nintendo Switch 2.

A new story trailer shows the protagonist, a Skaven named Vihneek, beginning a quest to become an assassin. The narrative follows Vihneek after he is freed from prison by a clanmate, only to be forced into service by Clan Skrell to eliminate rival gang leaders and underworld figures.

The gameplay focuses on stealth, survival, and tactical improvisation. Players can use shadows, set lethal traps, and exploit the environment to bypass or defeat enemies, including Rat Ogors. Players can also gather Warpstones to unlock new abilities. The developers say the game will feature a grim atmosphere with decaying environments and oppressive shadows.
