TL;DR

ASUS details the specifications for the XG Core Radeon RX 9060 XT LP external graphics dock, revealing significantly lower clock speeds than the desktop version to meet a 75 W power limit.

ASUS has updated the official specifications for the XG Core Radeon RX 9060 XT LP, detailing the performance trade-offs required for its USB4-powered external graphics dock. First showcased at Gamescom 2026, the unit runs entirely off the PCIe slot without external power connectors, capping its total power draw at 75 W.

ASUS lists a default game clock of 1,010 MHz and a boost frequency of 1,600 MHz for the 114 by 117 by 39 mm chassis to ensure stable operation and proper cooling. Enabling OC mode increases these figures slightly to 1,030 MHz and 1,620 MHz. These speeds sit well below the standard desktop version of the GPU, which draws 140 W and features a base frequency of 1,380 MHz and a boost frequency of up to 3,040 MHz.

The portable dock includes a USB4 controller, offers limited display outputs, and targets mini-PCs, notebooks, and handhelds. ASUS rates the hardware for local AI workloads at 406.3 AI TOPS alongside traditional gaming.
