GPU makers reportedly focus on RTX 30 series as RTX 50 supply tightens
TL;DR
GPU makers are reportedly telling distributors to prioritize older RTX 30 series and some AMD Radeon GPUs due to low RTX 50-series inventory and soaring prices, according to a ChannelGate report.
GPU makers in Asia are reportedly redirecting sellers toward older graphics cards because of low supply for NVIDIA GeForce RTX 50-series Blackwell cards. A ChannelGate report says some add-in card partners are running out of RTX 50-series inventory as local digital promotions and mining operations drain available stock. Reports say retailers are reportedly forcing sales of RTX 3060 and RTX 3050 cards, along with some AMD Radeon SKUs, to manage demand for the RTX 50-series.
NVIDIA reintroduced a GeForce RTX 3060 12 GB edition in June. This model features 3,584 CUDA cores and 12 GB of GDDR6 memory, and it uses Samsung's 8 nm DUV node. Reports say RTX 50-series prices are also reportedly soaring.
