A Reddit user claims to have enabled AMD's unreleased Fluid Motion Frames 3 on RDNA 3 and RDNA 4 GPUs using a Windows registry modification and DeepSeek AI.
A Reddit user claims to have unlocked AMD Fluid Motion Frames 3 on Radeon RX 7000 and RX 9000 series GPUs ahead of its official release. The user reportedly used DeepSeek 4.1 Flash to find a hidden setting in AMD Software: Adrenalin Edition 26.10.2. Instead of modifying driver files, the process involves changing a Windows registry value.
The reported feature includes a Standard mode and an Enhanced mode. According to the Reddit user, Enhanced mode interacts with temporal upscaling methods such as AMD FSR, Intel XeSS, and Unreal Engine 5 TSR. While the Enhanced mode reportedly produces cleaner visuals around interface elements, it may also introduce additional latency compared to Standard mode. The feature reportedly works with motion blur enabled, though fullscreen requirements change depending on the game.
AMD has not officially announced AFMF 3, its supported hardware, or a release date. Current AMD documentation still identifies AFMF 2.1 as the supported version, and the Adrenalin 26.10.2 release notes do not mention AFMF 3. Reports say references to AFMF 3 and FrameGenV3 appeared in Radeon drivers in September 2025. Since this is an unannounced feature, it may behave unpredictably or change before a formal release.
