An unofficial PC port of Astral Chain features DLSS 5 neural rendering for improved textures and lighting, alongside a November 4 update adding experimental uncapped frame rates and expanded controller support.
A gameplay demonstration from No Music Gaming shows Nvidia DLSS 5 neural rendering enhancing the unofficial PC port of Astral Chain. The footage shows improved environmental texture detail and adjustments to lighting that result in a moodier look in some scenes. These visual improvements are an early demonstration, as the video does not provide specific rendering settings or detailed performance measurements.

This update introduces experimental support for unrestricted frame rates, which differs from the 30 FPS target of the original Nintendo Switch release. The update also adds rumble functionality, more in-game settings, and support for controllers beyond Xbox devices.
The developers of the project noted they used Anthropic's Claude Code for programming, documentation, reverse engineering, and tooling. Because the port is unofficial, its stability, compatibility, and long-term development are not guaranteed. Nintendo has not announced an official PC version of the PlatinumGames title.
