Grand Theft Auto 6 has not caused a noticeable increase in Xbox Series X|S sales. Circana analyst Mat Piscatella reports that Xbox unit sales dropped 27 percent compared to the previous year, marking the lowest September ever for the platform. Piscatella states that despite Grand Theft Auto 6 releasing on both consoles, the reveal produced no positive impact on Microsoft hardware numbers.
This finding contrasts with reports indicating that UK sales increased by 34 percent following the Grand Theft Auto 6 Extended Look preview on Netflix. In separate developments, PlayStation briefly published a product page detailing enhancements for the game on the PS5 Pro before quickly deleting it.
