A modder named Cobalt released a mod called Fallout 34 on November 6 that brings the Capital Wasteland and the Mojave into the Fallout 4 engine. Players can travel between the Commonwealth, the Mojave, and the Capital Wasteland using a Vertibird at the Red Rocket station near Sanctuary. The mod converts existing files already on a player's PC rather than including new ones. Because of this, users need Fallout 3, Fallout: New Vegas, and Fallout 4 installed with all DLC in separate folders, along with the F4SE script extender and several other required mods. The conversion process takes about 2 hours, though older PCs may take 3 to 4 hours.
The mod supports Broken Steel, The Pitt, and Mothership Zeta for Fallout 3, while Operation: Anchorage and Point Lookout are not supported yet. For New Vegas, only Honest Hearts works, while Lonesome Road, Old World Blues, and Dead Money are not supported yet. A separate co-op project named Fallout 34 Online is in a very early stage. This version allows players to see and interact with others, but they cannot affect someone else's world. During specific co-op missions or PvE extraction events, the worlds become shared, though decisions made during these events are not kept. Cobalt noted that some quest branches may have bugs because the team has not tested every choice.
