Maxsun says the SK-PTLNAS and SK-WCLAIO motherboards will launch in November, featuring Intel Panther Lake and Wildcat Lake processors.

Maxsun has released specifications for two Mobile on Desktop motherboards designed for NAS and compact computing. Both the SK-PTLNAS and SK-WCLAIO are expected to launch in November.

Measuring 244 by 244 millimeters, the SK-PTLNAS accommodates Intel's Core Ultra Series 3 Panther Lake chips, scaling up to the Core Ultra 9 386H model. This 16-core chip has four Xe3 graphics cores and a maximum turbo power of 80W. It features a pair of SO-DIMM slots that accept as much as 128GB of DDR5-7200 RAM. For data storage, the board supplies five M.2 NVMe slots alongside three Mini SAS connectors of the SFF-8643 variety. Networking features include one 10GbE, one 2.5GbE, and two 1GbE ports. It also has a PCIe 5.0 x8 slot, two Thunderbolt 4 ports, and supports Windows 11 and Ubuntu.

The SK-WCLAIO is a smaller 90 x 165mm board. Driven by the Intel Core 7 350 CPU, the layout incorporates a pair of performance cores alongside four low-power efficiency cores and a pair of Xe3 graphics units. A single SO-DIMM slot is available, capable of handling up to 48GB of DDR5-6400 system memory. Users get four M.2 NVMe connections and one terabyte of built-in UFS 3.1 storage. Connectivity features span a 10Gb Ethernet port, a pair of Thunderbolt 4 links, and compatibility with Wi-Fi as well as 5G add-in cards. Although documentation mentions both USB-C power delivery and a 12V DC jack, the exact power connection remains somewhat uncertain.
