TL;DR

Intel is reportedly developing Moon Lake and Wildcat Lake Refresh processors using the 18A node and BGA1516 package.

Intel is reportedly preparing two new low-power processor lineups called Moon Lake and Wildcat Lake Refresh. Both families will use the Intel 18A manufacturing node and the BGA1516 package, reports say.

Moon Lake, also referred to as MNL, is reportedly designed as a pure low-power efficiency (LPE) core SoC for embedded devices like NAS or entry-level laptops. This lineup may succeed the N-Series or replace Twin Lake in 2028. According to leaker Jaykihn, Moon Lake will feature up to 4 Darkmont LPE-cores and no P-cores. It reportedly has a 6 W base power rating.

The Wildcat Lake Refresh is an updated version of the existing Core 300 Series. While the original Wildcat Lake featured up to 2 P-cores and 4 E-cores, the refresh is expected to increase the P-core count to 4 using the Cougar Cove microarchitecture. These processors will keep the 4 Darkmont LPE-cores and up to 2 Xe3 GPU cores. The refresh will also add support for Intel vPro technology, reports say.
